These paintings are selected from Carlos Joao Alvarez Guerra Gonzalez’s (Pao), “The Order of Disorder”. This project began in 2008, during this period an exhibition entitled “Irreversibility” was held in Havana, Cuba.

In the beginning, the first works were focused on capturing the viewer’s attention towards a poetics about the current way of life, typical of consumer society, its implications, existential and environmental. With a visual language that intertwines the manufactured and the living. Say, landscapes that stamp armchairs, or islands superimposed on a pasta disc, in a music machine.

The existentialist spirit somewhat a la Magritte, is very much in the DNA of this proposal in terms of the visual aspect; although in a completely different sense. It could be said that we are facing an exercise in introspection that connects the artist with a social chronicle full of objects and symbols of everyday life in an allegorical context.
