Art Palm Beach 2024 has been exciting to plan and, with more than eighty galleries from around the world exhibiting modern and contemporary art, it promises to be an extraordinary experience to attend.
Here’s a look at just some of the artwork we’ll be exhibiting:
Julian Opie (b.1958, London)
Julian Opie’s clean, minimal style has been embraced throughout the world. His style bridges the gap between contemporary art and commercial design.
His works can be found, not only in major museums around the world, but his public sculptures can be found in wide-ranging cities from New York to London, Venice, Taiwan, Australia and Japan.
Opie’s works are currently being shown at a solo exhibit at the Krakow Witkin in Boston and group exhibitions in London and Tianjin, China.
Dance, Figure 1, 2023 is just one of the works of Julian Opie's that will be on exhibit at the VFA Booth at Art Palm Beach.
Michael Craig-Martin (b.1941 Dublin, Ireland)
Michael Craig-Martin spent a good part of his early life in the U.S. He studied art in Paris and at Yale before teaching at Goldsmith’s College, where he had a strong influence on Julian Opie and other Young British Artists.
Craig-Martin’s minimalist sculpture will be on exhibit at the VFA Art Palm Beach Booth.
Jonas Wood (b.1977)
Jonas Wood’s mastery of the fine art print has made him a favorite at VFA. He does some of his screenprinting at his home in LA. and recently had an exhibit of many of the drawings he’s done in the last twenty years.
Wood’s skill is apparent in Kitchen Interior and the soft etching Pattern Couch Interior with Mar Vista View, which will be on exhibit at our booth.
His work is part of the permanent collection of The Met, MoMA, the Whitney, the Guggenheim, the Centre Pompidou and other major venues.
Works by these and other artists, in several medium will be on exhibit at the VFA booth; Acrylic and watercolor paintings by Katherine Bernhardt, oil on velvet by Mel Bochner, etchings and aluminum works by Donald Sultan, screenprints by Andy Warhol and work by Harland Miller, Roy Lichtenstein, Alex Katz, Frank Stella and Susumu Kamijo and generative art by Rick Oostenbroek.
