As I delve into the intricacies of these graceful, geometric figures, I find myself absorbed in the potential of this artistic venture. Art, for me, is a potent medium, chiefly as a form of visual communication. Dragons, typically depicted as fearsome beasts, are reimagined here as pleasant, abstract entities that traverse the canvas in a novel manner. This series is a thrilling blend of amusement, anticipation, anxiety, and tactics, marked by a competitive edge to secure the most coveted dragons.
The process of this experiment was fascinating. The uncertainty of its direction sparked an array of ideas from both myself and the community. While some concepts never materialized, others were the fruits of collective genius, with Harvey's bold decisions leading the charge. His fearlessness to explore new territories is what makes his work thrilling. He seamlessly melds technological innovation with compelling visuals.
The "Quasi Dragon Studies" represents a visual dialect that Harvey has nurtured for over two decades. The timing of its unveiling was always uncertain, yet the advent of "Verse," a platform for collecting digital art, presented a unique moment for art enthusiasts to acquire pieces from this exclusive series. The tension and spectacle surrounding these works signaled an exciting chapter ahead.
The technical aspects of Quasi Dragons truly allowed me to indulge my inner geek, despite the occasional frustration. Juggling financial and temporal constraints often deters me from such complex projects, as my primary connection with art is emotional and intrinsic. However, this project challenged my conventional views on value and scarcity. I was determined to attain the elusive imagery of the Black Dragon, which meant collaborating with fellow collectors instead of competing against them.
Quasi Dragons resembled a puzzle that required a deep understanding of each piece, with Harvey's guidance pivotal to its completion. The quest for the Black Dragons, rare and coveted, added an element of urgency. It was both exasperating and exhilarating to watch certain pieces slip through my fingers, and I wasn't alone; many in the community began to hoard these elusive pieces.
