Vertu Fine Art is delighted to announce the publication of five new screenprints by Julian Opie. Opie who has drawn multiple variations of humans standing, walking and running, has recently returned to the subject of dancing to depict figures moving to viral, high-energy dance routines. Just as the image of a striding figure stretches back thousands of years to early Egypt, so does the figure of a dancer. For his twenty-first century depictions, Opie borrows from the world of public signage and advertising to make five screenprints, each using twelve colours.
