Ludo

French street artist, Ludo, was born Ludovic Vernhet in a Paris suburb in 1976. He studied sociology in Paris for three years and then gravitated to graphic design and art, which he studied in Milan.

Ludo’s work focuses on the dichotomy between nature and human behavior. It depicts the incompatibility between nature and technology. He juxtaposes the industrial metal gray of human machinery against a soft green that represents the beauty of nature. 

Ludo has created murals in Paris, London, Amsterdam, Belgium, Berlin, Zurich, Rome,  Vatican City, Tokyo, Bangkok, Shanghai, Hong Kong, San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles. When galleries and museums began to show an interest in his works, Ludo began to create smaller works on paper and canvas, in a variety of media and techniques, including acrylics, silkscreen and 3D printing.

In 2018, Ludo was part of the Artist in Residence program at the Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art in Berlin.

Ludo  lives and works in Paris.
